ADMISSION TERMS AND PROCEDURE FOR THE 2025–2026 ACADEMIC YEAR

The knowledge assessment process is carried out using a unified approach for all applicants, regardless of whether the higher education institution is state or non-state.

For admission to the Psychology and Social Work programs, applicants must take two unified entrance examinations:

  • “Armenian Language and Armenian Literature”, and

  • one elective subject, chosen by the applicant:

    • Foreign Language (English, German, French, Russian, Spanish, Italian, Persian), or

    • Biology.

Graduates of secondary vocational educational institutions who have demonstrated high academic performance, and who wish to continue their education at a higher education institution, must submit the following package of documents to the university by August 30, no later than 17:00:

  1. An application addressed to the Rector.

  2. A copy of the graduation document (diploma) and its supplement.

  3. A copy of the examination record.

  4. Four photographs (3×4 cm).

  5. A copy of an identity document (passport, ID card, or birth certificate for applicants under 16 years of age, or military booklet, or a temporary identification document issued by the Police of the Republic of Armenia, residence permit, refugee certificate).

  6. A copy of the military booklet or registration certificate (for applicants of conscription age, the document is accepted if it contains a note granting deferment or a reason for non-conscription; for those granted deferment due to health reasons, a note from the Republican Conscription Commission is required).

  7. Relevant documents confirming eligibility for benefits established by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia (if applicable).

In the presence of a minimum (pass) grade, a student is not eligible to transfer from college to university.

According to the procedure established by Government Decision No. 597-N of April 26, 2012, applicants for the 2024/2025 academic year may register for and take the unified entrance examinations twice:

  1. Graduates of general, primary vocational, or secondary vocational educational institutions of the Republic of Armenia (current year or previous years) may take the unified exams in January and June of the given year.

  2. Applicants discharged from military service by July 31 of the given year, foreign citizens, and citizens of the Republic of Armenia who are graduates of foreign educational institutions of the given academic year may take the unified exams in January and July.

  3. Graduates of educational institutions of the Republic of Armenia (current or previous years), foreign citizens, and citizens of the Republic of Armenia who are graduates of foreign educational institutions of the given academic year, whose certificates or graduation documents do not include certification in “Armenian Language”, and who wish to take the unified exams using Russian-language test translations (except for “History of Armenia” and foreign languages), may take the unified exams in January and July.

During the second phase, registration for the unified entrance examinations, as well as first-phase specialty registration, for graduates of general, primary vocational, and secondary vocational educational institutions (current year and previous years), will be accepted from April 18 to May 10, 2025.

Applications from foreign citizens, citizens of the Republic of Armenia who graduated from foreign educational institutions in the given academic year, and applicants discharged from military service or to be discharged by July 31 of the given year, are accepted during the second phase, from June 26 to July 1, until 17:00.
