MEETING WITH ANUSH GABRIELYAN

On October 18th, as part of the “Empowering Armenian youth from intersecting marginalized groups to speak about sexual violence based on their own stories and experiences” backed by the Embassy of Canada, Anush Gabrielyan, the program coordinator at the Sexual Assault Crisis Center, conducted another seminar with the students of Urartu University’s Faculties of Psychology and Social work.

During the meeting, the participants were introduced to the consequences of the characteristics of the phenomenon of SV, the legal, psychological, social aspects of working or communicating with persons who have been subjected to SV, as well as protecting their own identity from sexual violence and harassment.

Anoush Gabrielyan presented to the participants the issues and types of sexual violence in Armenia, the steps to be taken after the incident of sexual violence, as well as the specifics of professional activities within the framework of that topic.
