Representatives of Urartu University participated in a public discussion on “Expanding Public Participation and Improving Accountability in the Budget Process of Higher Education in Armenia.”
The discussion was attended by S. Hambardzumyan, University Lawyer and Adviser to the Rector, as well as Urartu University students Mariam and Susanna.
The participants discussed current issues and challenges in the higher education sector, along with possible proposals for improving relevant policies.
During the discussion, S. Hambardzumyan proposed ensuring an equitable approach to the state student scholarship system for all students studying at both public and private universities, emphasizing the importance of equal educational opportunities.
The meeting was held within the framework of the sub-grant provided under the “Budgets for Citizens” programme.
