An extraordinary session of the general meeting of the student council of  “Urartu” University was held, having the elections of the president of the council on the agenda.
Advisor to the Rector, in charge of quality assurance S. Hambardzumyan, acting chairman of the student council and its members attended the meeting.

Nelly Minasyan, who had been the head of the student council since 2020, presented the whole work carried out throughout her presidency.

As a result of closed elections, Natalie Melkumyan, a student of the educational program “Psychology”, former vice-president of the student council, was elected president.

Board members were elected unanimously and in accordance with their sectoral duties.

The second-year student of the educational program “Psychology” Liana Sargsyan was appointed deputy chairman of the student council.

The newly elected chairman of the student council thanked everyone for their trust.

Adviser to the Rector, in charge of quality assurance S. Hambardzumyan, highlighting the importance of the activities carried out by the student council in the current educational reforms, said: “Through his work and commitment, the president of the student council should contribute to academic processes and educational activities, as well as protection of student rights and diversification of cultural life, especially the active engagement of students in the process of university management.
