International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Today, On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), “Urartu” University of Practical Psychology and Sociology reaffirms its commitment to cultivating an academic community where accessibility, equity, and inclusivity are foundational values. We continue to work toward creating spaces where every individual—regardless of ability—can participate fully, excel, and be empowered to achieve their highest potential.

This global initiative seeks to:
✔ Enhance public understanding of disability-related issues,
✔ Promote respect for the inherent dignity and contributions of persons with disabilities,
✔ Encourage inclusive practices across education, employment, and community life,
✔ Highlight the social, cultural, and economic benefits of building accessible and barrier-free environments.

Today serves as a meaningful reminder that an inclusive society not only uplifts persons with disabilities, but enriches all of us. Let us honor their resilience, achievements, and vital contributions, and remain steadfast in our efforts to advance universal accessibility and inclusion.
